About Kosovo

About Kosovo

Kosovo is a disputed territory in the Balkans. Most countries recognize its independence, but Serbia considers it to part of the Republic of Serbia. It shares borders with Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, and North Macedonia.

Visitors to Kosovo will enjoy its medieval monasteries, historic monuments, and natural beauty. Its vibrant nightlife and café culture is due to its youthful population.

Regional dishes such as burek (a flaky pastry filled with cheese, spinach, or meat) and Turkish-style kebabs can be found on the menu at most restaurants. The drink menu includes local and regional beer, wine, and raki.

Accommodations are generally limited to hotels and motels, although travelers can find some holiday rentals available on sites like Airbnb.
