About the Netherlands
The Netherlands shares borders with Belgium, France, and Germany. This small European country is divided into four regions, each with its own geographic features and cultural heritage. While most of the tourist traffic centers around Amsterdam, here are five other Dutch cities to visit on your travels.
Known for its famous painters, national monuments, and international cooperation, the Netherlands is a hub of industry and culture.

Its mostly flat landscape is criss-crossed with rivers and canals. Its western coast is on the North Sea and hundreds of thousands of beachgoers visit its sandy shores every year for swimming and sunbathing. If you visit between March and May, you can see the world-famous tulip fields. Other popular activities include cycling (of course), water sports, and hiking.
Don't forget to try a local pilsner with dinner and order a Stroopwafel for dessert.
Accommodation is plentiful in popular tourist areas. Hotels, hostels, bed and breakfasts, vacation rentals, and home stays are all options near the bigger cities.
